Charging lockers at Hinterland provide a place for you and your friends to store your freshly scored merchandise, jackets, bags and more - while also providing a charging place for phones, battery banks, and other devices. Each locker is internally equipped with a 3-in-1 USB charging cable that features USB-C, Lightning (Apple) and Micro USB connectors to charge devices securely within your locker.

During the week of the festival, there will be an in-person Box Office available to patrons to pick up tickets, replace wristbands, and answer any other ticket questions. Stay tuned for hours and locations. There is not an in-person box office prior to this time.

Requesting Accommodations and Accessibility Wristbands
Guests with disabilities or a special medical need, can request these accommodations by emailing access@hinterlandiowa.com. Advance request by July 10th is recommended to ensure availability. Once you arrive, please visit the ADA check-in tent just outside of the South Entrance to finish registering and receive your Accessibility Wristband - this wristband will allow access to our available accommodations. One companion wristband is also available. Children under the age of 18 will be allowed as additional companions. There is not an accessibility ticket that needs to be purchased to utilize accommodations.

We accept requests for any of the following services:

- ASL Interpretation

- Other forms of Effective Communication (such as: live captioning, large format print/braille literature, guided tours for guests with visual disabilities, assistive listening devices, or any other accommodation not listed)

To ensure adequate time for planning, requests for these services should be made by July 10th. While we will strive to accommodate requests, we cannot guarantee fulfillment after the cutoff date. To submit a request, please fill out the 2026 Effective Communication Request Form.

Once you arrive, please check-in at the Accessibility Services Hub to be connected with our interpreting team.

Parking: A dedicated accessible parking lot is available for attendees with a valid government-issued disability placard or license plate. Purchase a General Parking pass to access.

Viewing Area
An accessible viewing area with shade, small bar, folding chairs, accessible restrooms, and a water filling station is located inside the festival grounds.

Sensory Supportive Space
A tented space where sensory stimuli is more controlled for folks that may need a break or an opportunity to regulate.

Chairs
Chairs with legs are not allowed in festival grounds. However, if you have a medical need, you may bring your own from home. All chairs must have a tag from ADA Services.

Portable Toilets and Showers
Accessible portable toilets are located throughout the festival. Accessible showers are also offered (showers are available to all guests for a fee).

Charging Medical Devices
You are welcome to bring your powered medical device to ADA Services for recharging. Please note that staff are not responsible for devices left charging.

First Aid
First Aid tents are located in the festival grounds & campgrounds and staffed by trained personnel to provide any medical aid needed.

Food & Drink
Outside food or drink are not allowed in festival grounds. However, if you require special accommodation for dietary restrictions, please visit ADA Services for assistance.

Coolers
If you have medical related items or breastmilk that requires a cooler within the festival concourse, please visit the ADA Services tent for an accessibility tag.

Shuttles
The Des Moines Shuttle will have buses in rotation that have ADA accommodations and will drop off at the ADA Parking Lot.

Service Animals

Service animals are permitted throughout the venue. However, this does not include emotional support animals, therapy animals, or companion animals. Only legitimate service animals that are properly trained and under the proper care of their owners will be provided with the appropriate credentials.

The following guidelines must be followed:

• All service animals must be registered with the ADA department upon entry into the event. Please ask a security guard to call ADA upon entry.
• All service animals must remain by the handler's side at all times and must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered. If these devices interfere with the service animal's work or if the handler's disability prevents the use of these devices, the handler must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls
• Service animals must be housebroken
• Anyone bringing an animal will be responsible for and liable for any damage or injury caused by the animal
• All service animals should have legally required vaccinations (which ADA staff may ask to see for verification)

Hinterland's 90 Degree Guarantee allows ticket holders the option to request festival admission ticket returns for any day that is predicted to reach 90° or higher.

If on Monday 7/26 at 10AM CT, the weather.gov forecast for 7/30, 7/31, or 8/1 has a true temperature of 90° or higher for the 50240 zip code, ticket purchasers will have the option to request a return of their festival admission ticket for that day. Return requests are only available for the day(s) the forecast is 90° or higher. 3-Day ticket holders can request a return for specific day/s at a rate of 1/3 of the total 3-Day ticket price.

Starting Monday, July 26 at 10AM CT you will be able to complete a 90 Degree Guarantee Ticket Return Request Form at hinterlandiowa.com/tickets. To guarantee your return you must submit the form before 5:00 PM CT on Tuesday, July 27.

Eligible returns will be processed within approximately 14 days.

Important safety information may also be shared through festival screens, onsite announcements and official Hinterland channels. Follow all instructions from festival staff, security and emergency personnel.

Security Screening
‍Every person, vehicle and belonging entering the festival or campgrounds is subject to a security search. Screening may include magnetometers and/or a pat-down.

‍Lights, Sound & Special Effects
‍Performances may include flashing or strobing lights, theatrical haze, pyrotechnics and loud sounds. Guests with sensitivities to these effects should take the necessary precautions.

‍Take a few simple steps before arriving:

• Add an emergency contact’s name and phone number to your festival wristband at hinterlandiowa.com/activate.
• Update your phone’s lock screen to include your name and an emergency contact number.
• Keep your phone charged throughout the festival, consider bringing an extra battery pack or rent a charging locker.
• Review the festival maps and familiarize yourself with emergency exits, first aid stations, and Information Tent locations.
• Pay attention to festival screens, onsite announcements and official Hinterland communications.

Tent Camping Parking: For Tent Camping pass holders only and the closest parking lot to Tent Camping. Re-entry is allowed during daylight hours only. A gear drop-off/pick-up zone is available during specified hours.

Car Camping: Car camping passes include space for one vehicle on your campsite.

RV Camping: RV passes include space for your RV. An additional vehicle is allowed on your site as long as it fits within your designated space. If you need parking for an additional vehicle, it's recommended that you purchased a Tent Camping Parking pass.

Check out Hinterland's Miniland! Curated by Des Moines' own Ramona Muse Lambert, Miniland is a creative experience for all, focused on DIY art, music, and a welcoming spot for families to gather throughout the festival.

All festival long, guests are invited to try their hand at button making, patch making, keychain construction, and contributing to our bootleg Hinterland flyer wall. All are welcome to draw on our giant inflatable bear, hop in the photobooth, and give our artist-made carnival games a whirl.

Families can find some relief in our chill zone, make a Miniland kids pass, weave rainbow loom bracelets, free draw, grab an activity bag to go, and pick up a Hinterland activity newspaper while supplies last.

You can also come visit the Miniland Stage each day for a unique mix of musical performances, unconventional instrument demonstrations, and more!

First Aid tents are located throughout the festival & campgrounds and staffed by trained personnel to provide any medical aid needed. In case of an emergency, notify any staff member or our security team. When in doubt: see something, say something.

Remember:
- Drink water early and often. Stay hydrated so you can enjoy the show all day long.
- Take advantage of the shade and cooling areas located around the venue.
- Don't hesitate to ask a staff member for help. They are there to help you have fun and keep you safe.

Accessible Parking
ADA Parking provides convenient access to designated parking spaces in the ADA Parking Lot for attendees with valid accessibility credentials. To use these spaces, a valid government-issued persons with disability parking placard, permit, or license plate is required. Purchase an ADA Parking Pass. 

Shuttles
The Des Moines Shuttle will have buses in rotation that have ADA accommodations and will drop off at the festival.

At Hinterland, we want our premium guests to feel their extra dollars were well spent. We think you'll love what we've put together! If you don't, you have options.

All 3-Day VIP and VIP+ purchasers will have the opportunity for a "Free Look" onsite after scanning in. If you decide within one hour of scanning into the festival that you aren't satisfied with the premium amenities, you can return your ticket or downgrade to a lower level. Simply visit the VIP Concierge Tent on the north side of the premium area.

To qualify for the Free Look Return Policy, purchasers must scan into the festival grounds by 6PM on Friday, July 30.

This policy only applies to 3-Day VIP and VIP+ festival admission tickets. It does not include camping, parking, or shuttle tickets. To qualify, tickets must have been purchased directly from Front Gate Tickets or via our AXS.com early bird presale. Tickets purchased from a third-party are not eligible.

Reduce your carbon footprint and save time by riding to Hinterland on our shuttle. The Des Moines Shuttle provides convenient transportation between Des Moines (exact location TBA) and the festival grounds.

Children 10 and under ride free with a ticketed adult.

There will be buses in rotation that have ADA accommodations that drop off at the ADA Parking Lot.

‍

Festival gates open daily at 12pm. Gate lines may begin forming at 10am; earlier arrivals will be redirected to the campgrounds.

‍

Festival tickets are sold in tiers — same pass type, different price. This system rewards fans who buy early with the best prices.

Each tier offers the exact same access and benefits, but lower-priced tiers sell out first.

When you buy tickets:

- You may see multiple tiers listed. Choose the lowest available tier for the best price.
- Once a tier sells out, it's marked as unavailable and prices move to the next tier.
- Tiers can change quickly based on demand.

There will be port-a-potties throughout the camping areas. All bathrooms will be serviced daily. If you notice an issue, please visit Guest Services or email us at realperson@hinterlandiowa.com.

Showers will be available for purchase (credit card only). Showers are located just east of Dollar General along the festival trail.‍

‍

You are welcome to breastfeed or pump anywhere on festival grounds. There will also be a nursing and pumping area located in Miniland.

If you have medical related items or breastmilk that requires a cooler within the festival concourse, please visit the ADA Services tent for an accessibility tag.

Accessible Car and Tent Only Camping locations are available for guests with disabilities, as well as preferred spots within the RV campground. Please see our map for the location of the reserved ADA camping area. To camp in this area, you must have a valid government-issued persons with disability parking placard, permit, or license plate, and purchase an ADA Camping pass. There is a fixed amount of ADA camping spots in this area, so please do not purchase this pass if you do not need it on account of a disability. If you have a special medical need, it must be requested in advance by July 10th or it may not be available. You may email access@hinterlandiowa.com.

Hinterland Music Festival is located in St. Charles, Iowa.

• Only tickets purchased through our official ticketing partner, FRONT GATE TICKETS, or through AXS during the early bird presale are valid for entry. If you purchased from an unauthorized source or have a counterfeit wristband, entry will not be permitted.
• Wristbands must be worn securely on your wrist and cannot be slipped on or off.
• Keep your wristband on for the entire festival—it must not be removed, stretched, or tampered with, as doing so will void entry.
• To re-enter the festival on the same day, your wristband must be scanned upon exiting.
• Wristbands are non-transferable and non-exchangeable.

Lost or Damaged Wristbands?
No worries! They can be replaced one time only for the original purchaser, for a replacement fee of $25. Just head to our Box Office and they'll get you taken care of. Please bring a photo ID (or picture of the photo ID) of the original purchaser.

Please Note:

• Counterfeit or duplicated wristbands will be confiscated by security.
• This wristband policy is strictly enforced, and there are no exceptions.

Your wristband is your ticket to an incredible experience! Please treat it with care—it's a revocable license, and entry may be denied or revoked for non-compliance with festival policies or protocols. By attending the festival, you voluntarily assume all risks, including potential injury or loss of property.

Every person, vehicle and belonging entering the festival or campgrounds is subject to a full airport-style search, which may include a magnetometer screening and/or pat-down.

These items are NOT allowed in campgrounds:

NO weapons of any kind
NO pyro stuff (No tiki torches, fireworks or the like, please)
NO glass
NO pets (service animals are welcome, see policy)
NO selling stuff, unlicensed vending, sponsor tents
NO swimming in the pond
NO vehicles in Tent Campgrounds
NO RVs in regular parking lots
NO motorized bicycles, scooters, etc.

These items ARE allowed in campgrounds:

YES food
YES small campfire stoves/grills that run on propane or charcoal
YES drinks with a limit of three cases of either beer, boxes of wine, or liquor bottles per campsite
YES firepits
YES bicycles
YES wagons for transporting gear

Please note that other items may be deemed prohibited at event organizers discretion.

Generators: Non-fuel generators are allowed in all campgrounds. Gas or diesel generators are not allowed in tent camping or car camping, but are allowed in both RV campgrounds.

Join us for yoga daily (Thursday-Sunday) at 9 AM by the Campfire Stage. These Vinyasa yoga classes led by Mayce at Mindful Healing Co. will focus on connecting body with breath, relaxation, mindfulness, and letting go. After the flow, there will be a 10-15 minute sound bath during savasana to bring awareness inwards and fully immerse in the soothing sounds. All levels welcome, just bring a mat/towel & water. Please be aware that scammers often try to sell invalid tickets on Facebook, Instagram, StubHub, Vivid Seats, SeatGeek, Craigslist, and Marketplace by fake accounts. Tickets purchased through third-parties will not be accepted.

The party doesn’t stop after the main stage lights turn off. Stay tuned for your Campfire Stage 2027 lineup — live in the campground after hours. All ticket holders, not just campers, are welcome!

Shop Hinterland apparel, accessories and festival keepsakes at the Merch Tents. Artist merch will also be available. Quantities are limited, so stop by early to grab your favorites!

The entire festival grounds span about 2 miles from end-to-end, so be prepared to walk (closed toe shoes are recommended). There are designated hiking trails between campgrounds and parking lots.

Walk on the festival hiking trail (marked on the map) to get around the campgrounds and from parking to festival grounds entrances. Walking along Highway G50 is NOT permitted for safety reasons.

Keep in mind that if you're in Tent Camping, your car will not be next to your tent. Bringing a wagon for transporting your stuff to and from the campsite is a great move.

Pedicabs
Skip the stroll and grab a ride! Coors Light will be offering pedicab rides at Hinterland. Perfect for getting from the parking lot or campgrounds to the festival entrance with zero fuss. Prices start at $15, all forms of payment accepted including cash, card, Venmo, PayPal, etc. Ready to ride? Flag one down or head to a pedicab pickup spot located throughout the grounds. Pedicabs are first-come, first-serve. Prices are subject to change.

Come relax in the shaded White Claw Hammock Hangout in the camping area. Bring your own hammock or use one of ours. All ticket holders are welcome!

All admission and camping tickets are physical wristbands or window clings. Orders will ship about a month before the festival to the address provided at checkout. If you need to change your shipping address, log in to your Front Gate account. If you do not receive your wristband before the festival, you can pick your tickets up at the box office. Box office hours will be released closer to the festival.

Power is not provided for campers. Please plan accordingly.

The only exception is Powered RV Campsites. Powered RV Campsites include a 50-amp power hookup. Bring your own adapter if your RV uses a 30-amp connection. They will not be available for sale.

Hinterland is a cashless festival. Activate your wristband prior to the festival and link a credit card/debit card for swift payments with all vendors by registering for cashless. This is the easiest way to pay for food, drinks, merch, and more. During the festival, order at any food, drink, or merch vendor and let them know you’re paying with your wristband. Tap your wristband, enter your PIN, and you’re done!

Dance it out in the woods at our Silent Disco. Located on the north side of the campgrounds by the Raccoon Run and Dragonfly Trails. It’s free for all ticket holders to participate. Open Wednesday-Sunday 12 PM–7 PM and 11 PM–3 AM.

Insider Tip: Stop by the nearby face-glitter stand and lemonade cart while you’re there.

We'll have delicious food & drink available for purchase in Basecamp.

Outside Food & Drink
You're welcome to bring your own food and drink into the campgrounds. We have a limit of three cases of either beer, boxes of wine, or liquor bottles per group. Please keep glass bottles at home. No outside food or drinks are allowed within the festival grounds, only the campgrounds.

Water
We'll have water refill stations throughout all the campgrounds and within the festival grounds. We encourage you to bring refillable water bottles or jugs.

Ice
Ice will be available for purchase.

Camp Stoves
Small campfire stoves/grills that run on propane or charcoal are permitted.

Take a stroll to our new sunflower field for a great photo op or a relaxing place to enjoy the view. It is located just west of Car Camping.

‍

Every RV entering the festival grounds requires an RV Campsite pass and cannot park in any other area. The following vehicles are considered an RV.

- Any size RV (motorhome): Class A, Class B or Class C.
- Any size bus (no tour buses, prevosts, or motorcoaches with low clearance allowed)
- Any vehicle wider or longer than a normal 15 passenger van (230 x 80 x 80)
- Any vehicle towing a camper or 5th wheel of any size.
- If you're hitching anything, it's an RV. (Box trucks and trailers are not allowed into the campgrounds.)

All campers must exit the campgrounds by Monday at Noon.

Re-entry
Tent Camping Parking, RV Camping Companion Vehicles re-entry ALLOWED during daylight hours

Car Camping, RV Camping - re-entry NOT ALLOWED

Hinterland now offers one-time fresh water refill or pump out service during daylight hours for Powered and Non-Powered RV pass holders, for a fee. Services will be completed within 24 hours of purchase. Use this link or scan the QR codes onsite to request a service. Please provide your RV lot number and a description of your RV so our service team can locate you. You can also combine the services for a discount!
