Tent Camping at Hinterland is for all who bring their own tent and want to camp in a space free of all cars to be closer to their neighbors! Located on the West side of the grounds closest to the Campfire Stage, Tent Camping offers open-field, unmarked campsites. Camping is available on a first-come, first-serve basis, requiring campers to walk in with their gear.

Each Tent Camping ticket is sold per tent and includes one tent tag, which must be visibly displayed at all times. Festival admission tickets are required for all campers, and each vehicle must have a parking pass if arriving by car.

Each tent can accommodate up to eight people; groups exceeding this size will need to purchase an additional Tent Camping ticket. Canopy tents are permitted for shade but cannot be used as primary sleeping quarters. 

‍Tent Camping Parking is sold separately ($50), and is the closest parking lot to Tent Camping. Vehicle re-entry to the parking lot is allowed during daylight hours, providing flexibility for campers. A gear drop-off zone is available on Friday during daylight hours only.

ADA Tent Camping is available for guests with disabilities. To camp in this area, you must have a valid government-issued persons with disability parking placard, permit, or license plate and purchase an ADA Tent Camping pass. There is a fixed amount of ADA tent camping spots in this area, so please do not purchase this pass if you do not need it on account of a disability. If you have a special medical need, please send requests in advance by July 9 to access@hinterlandiowa.com.

Car Camping at Hinterland lets you enjoy the convenience of camping right next to your vehicle, providing easy access to your gear and a comfortable festival experience.

‍Each Car Camping ticket includes one vehicle sticker for entry and camping in a 20' x 20' site for any group size. All campers must have a festival admission ticket, and every campsite must contain a vehicle with the sticker visibly displayed at all times. Passenger cars, trucks, and vans are allowed, but RVs and fuel generators are not permitted. Here's what we consider an RV.

Campsites are assigned upon arrival on a first-come, first-serve basis, so plan to arrive together if you wish to camp near friends. Only one vehicle is allowed per site, and everything—vehicle, tents, and camping gear—must fit within your designated space. No re-entry is allowed for vehicles once they exit the campground.

Car Camping passes are sold separately from festival admission tickets. Be sure to purchase early, as spots are limited and assigned at check-in.

ADA Car Camping ($250) (20’ x 25’ sites) is available for guests with disabilities. To camp in this area, you must have a valid government-issued persons with disability parking placard, permit, or license plate and purchase an ADA Car Camping pass. There is a fixed amount of ADA car camping spots in this area, so please do not purchase this pass if you do not need it on account of a disability. RV Camping at Hinterland provides a spacious and comfortable camping experience for festival-goers traveling with their RVs. Choose between the Powered RV Campground ($950) with 50-amp hookups or the Non-Powered RV Campground ($600), both offering 20’ x 40’ campsites designed to accommodate your RV and camping setup. Here's what we consider an RV. Here's what we consider an RV.

Each RV Camping ticket includes one RV sticker for entry, and all RVs must display their sticker at all times. All campers must have a festival admission ticket, and each campsite must contain an RV. Generators are permitted, but there are no water or sewage hookups available. Additional parking for extra vehicles can be purchased separately for the Tent Camping Parking Lot which is in close proximity to the RV campground.

Campsites are assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis upon arrival. If you want to camp near friends, be sure to arrive together. Each site allows cars, tents, slides, and awnings, provided everything fits within the designated 20’ x 40’ space. For Powered RV Campground guests, 50-amp power is available; bring your own adapter if your RV uses a 30-amp connection. Please note that RV deliveries are not permitted, and no re-entry is allowed for RVs once they exit the campground.

RV Camping passes are sold separately from festival admission tickets and are available in limited quantities. Book early to secure your spot in either the Powered or Non-Powered RV Campground. The festival entrance is a 0.6-mile walk from the RV Campground, with optional pedicab rides available for an additional cost.

Glamping at Hinterland offers a luxurious, hassle-free camping experience with fully set-up campsites and premium amenities. Located in the Glamping Campground, this camping option combines comfort and style, allowing you to relax and enjoy the festival without any setup required.

Each Glamping package includes a pre-assembled campsite, and access to exclusive amenities like shaded seating and air-conditioned restrooms. Additionally, all glampers can enjoy a Community Space, complete with shade canopies, picnic tables, lawn games, and complimentary hot coffee each morning.

Choose between two packages: the Platinum Package ($1,800), featuring a Grand Bell Tent with an air-conditioning unit, twin cots, and premium furnishings; or the Core Package ($1250), which includes a Core Equipment cabin tent, camp chairs, and comfortable sleeping arrangements. Both packages come with 2 UST Filmatic single air mats, pillows, twin sheet sets, and a power strip with 20-amp service. Coolers, box fans, and additional items are available to rent in limited quantities, with details provided after purchase.

Glamping passes are sold per campsite and are separate from festival admission tickets. Both Glamping packages are designed for 2 adults. Each person camping must have a festival admission ticket. Parking is not included. Guests will have the option to purchase a premium parking pass in close proximity to their glamping site. Reserve your Glamping spot early, as these premium packages sell out quickly!

Reduce your carbon footprint and let us handle the driving! The Des Moines Shuttle provides convenient transportation between Des Moines and the festival grounds, with pickup at Wells Fargo Arena in downtown Des Moines. Free parking will be available at the Wells Fargo Arena Parking Lot and along the streets as shown on the map. 3-Day ($40) and 1-Day ($25) shuttle passes available. 

The shuttle runs 10am-Midnight on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. ADA-accommodated buses will also be in rotation. For campers, we recommend purchasing a parking pass for the festival grounds for added convenience.

The General Parking Pass provides convenient access to parking in either the North or South General Parking Lots (see map). 3-Day ($60) and 1-Day ($25) parking passes available. Designed for non-camping attendees. Re-entry is allowed during daylight hours for 3-Day parking pass holders.

Upgrade your parking experience with a pass in the Premium Parking Lot, offering convenient access close to the festival grounds. Included for Saints patrons in their festival pass, but available to all patrons to purchase. Only 3-Day Premium Parking passes are available.

Re-entry permitted during daylight hours for pass holders. Secure your Premium Parking spot early for the ultimate convenience throughout the festival weekend!

Tent Camping Parking is the closest parking lot to Tent Camping. Vehicle re-entry to the parking lot is allowed during daylight hours, providing flexibility for campers. A gear drop-off zone is available on Friday during daylight hours only.

ADA Parking provides convenient access to designated parking spaces in the ADA Parking Lot for attendees with valid accessibility credentials. To use these spaces, a valid government-issued persons with disability parking placard, permit, or license plate is required. 3-Day ($60) and 1-Day ($25) ADA parking passes available. 

Re-entry to the ADA Parking Lot is allowed. Reserve your ADA Parking Pass to secure accessible parking and enjoy a smooth festival experience.
